And it’s full time, eight hours. I’ve been there for 4 days already and it’s pretty hard work.
I’m mainly in charge of the phones, stamps, boxing, cleaning duties, packing, etc; But in reality when you join the team, you’re trained to do EVERYTHING, making the pizzas, pastas and everything on the menu, to get the phone, sort out the orders, everything except maybe for delivery (since you need a license and stuff and i don’t have one nor want it, i don’t like riding motorbikes). As i’m writing this my legs are pulsating with pain since you are not allowed to sit or rest, so you gotta stand all day long. My coleagues says that i’ll get used to it with time, well i certainly hope i can get used to it soon, my legs seriously hurt. The problem with this job is that now i have very little time for anything else i’d want to do, i’m wondering if i should have taken the part time position (4 hours) instead of full time (8 hours), but they pay quite less, and i want the monies to pay my college so…
Anyway, since i’m new i’m getting used to how everything works in there, and i’ve screwed up big time like 5 times already, which screws up my morale big time, but the manager and my coleagues are patient and kind most of the time and will help me when i screw up. One thing i don’t think i’ll get used to is to be called like they call female employees, since my job position is to attend the calls and the counter, a job which used to be females only (yet i was placed there for some reason) so when the guys at production (the guys who make the pizzas) finish an order they yell “Order ready, girls!” and i’m with my “:|” face.
But anyway, with all that, i calmed down. I have a job now, my fellow employees are nice, i have a solid income. I no longer depend on my poor freelancing jobs, so it’s cool in that part. =P
