I’ve been entranced by the vocaloid fad, but i dislike the japanese speaking vocaloids, not because of how they sound, but because they speak japanese. Then i heard about Vocaloid Prima, an english speaking OPERA singer vocaloid.

I spent all my savings to buy it, and now that i have it, i couldn’t resist a little mischief. I mixed my music making talent and imagination just that i could recreate “The Great Mighty Poo” song from Conker’s Bad Fur Day for the N64, i made the base playing by ear using the original song that i could download from the RARE website and i looked for the exact lyrics on google.

Making the lyrics sound right in vocaloid is an art of itself, it’s quite hard, but i think that it was decent for my first use of prima, in the future i’ll use her more seriously, but this time i could not resist the temptation to make her sing nasty words.

Here are the lyrics:

I am the great mighty poo
And im going to throw my shit at you
A huge supply of tish
Comes from my chocolate starfish
How about some scat you little twat

Do you really think you’ll survive in here
You don’t seem to know which creek you’re in
Sweet corn is the only thing that makes it through my rear
How’d you think i keep this lovely grin
(Have some more caviar)

Now I’m really getting rather mad
You’re like a niggly tiggly shitty little tag nut
When I knock you out with all my bab
I’m going to take your head and ram it up my butt!
My butt!
That’s right my butt!
My butt!
MY BUTT!!!

Dwarves in the Clouds

Shadowbox

There are little people in the sky, little humans, like you and me, only half our height. These small, peaceful dwarves enjoy harvesting beautiful cyan jewels from mines they dug up in the clouds, said jewels have an amazing amount of energy, and they’re cold and humid as ice. The dwarves cherish the jewels and lovingly takes care of them, and are only willing to share them with people with hearts as light and peaceful as the clouds they live in.

Hyann Library

Shadowbox

This is an original song i composed while i was viewing some old unsubmitted spritesheets i designed for a game involving my OC’s, this song is called Hyann Library, the theme of the ancient, abandoned library from Estolas, the city where my OC’s live. An ominous building that hides many mysteries and treasures.

Curiously, the only flaw of this wonderful flash player is that, no matter if i choose “super high quality” for sound, it still ends up sounding weird and a bit different from the original song, oh well, it still sounds pretty good.

I practiced playing with velocity for this track and the result was not bad, but not extremely good, it’s more than ready to be used in a proffesional, 3D game if it had to be used on one, but the sound still can be upgraded.

Each song i make is better than the last one, eh? I was worried a bit about the tempo, the beggining, specially after the initial string crescendo, can be a bit slow and bothersome, but not for people who listen to it for the first time or in-game (this, i could notice). I leaved it as it is since i believe i was the one imagining it, after all, i listened to it like a hundred times while making it.

I just LOVE the part when the flute comes in, sounds so pro.

The Museum – Medievil 2

Shadowbox

I made this tribute to Medievil 2, it’s the museum song from the first level of the game, from when Sir Daniel Fortesque awakens, note that it is NOT the original, i just remade it playing by ear (i’d wish it was somewhere as great as the original though), to listen to the original, google it or something, i bet they have it online somewhere.

Well, is not really “new”, but i uploaded all the notable pixel art i’ve made all by myself.
You can see it over here:

And it’s full time, eight hours. I’ve been there for 4 days already and it’s pretty hard work.

I’m mainly in charge of the phones, stamps, boxing, cleaning duties, packing, etc; But in reality when you join the team, you’re trained to do EVERYTHING, making the pizzas, pastas and everything on the menu, to get the phone, sort out the orders, everything except maybe for delivery (since you need a license and stuff and i don’t have one nor want it, i don’t like riding motorbikes). As i’m writing this my legs are pulsating with pain since you are not allowed to sit or rest, so you gotta stand all day long. My coleagues says that i’ll get used to it with time, well i certainly hope i can get used to it soon, my legs seriously hurt. The problem with this job is that now i have very little time for anything else i’d want to do, i’m wondering if i should have taken the part time position (4 hours) instead of full time (8 hours), but they pay quite less, and i want the monies to pay my college so…

Anyway, since i’m new i’m getting used to how everything works in there, and i’ve screwed up big time like 5 times already, which screws up my morale big time, but the manager and my coleagues are patient and kind most of the time and will help me when i screw up. One thing i don’t think i’ll get used to is to be called like they call female employees, since my job position is to attend the calls and the counter, a job which used to be females only (yet i was placed there for some reason) so when the guys at production (the guys who make the pizzas) finish an order they yell “Order ready, girls!” and i’m with my “:|” face.

But anyway, with all that, i calmed down. I have a job now, my fellow employees are nice, i have a solid income. I no longer depend on my poor freelancing jobs, so it’s cool in that part. =P
